About the role

Planner / Senior Planner | Defence Infrastructure

Location: Glasgow Central (Site travel required)

Contract Duration: 2 Years+ (Long-term)

Daily Rate: £500 - £550 per day

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Planner or Senior Planner delivering critical public sector infrastructure across the West of Scotland.

This role offers long-term stability on a major multi-year framework, driving complex pre-construction strategies and live site delivery.

  • Clearance: Must be eligible and willing to undergo Security Clearance (SC) prior to site access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tender & Pre-Construction Strategy: Develop logic-linked design, procurement, and construction programmes (P6/Asta). Produce method statements, logistics plans, and temporary works schedules.

  • Supply Chain Engagement: Work closely with sub-contractors to refine delivery assumptions and hit Tender Activity Programme (TAP) deadlines.

  • Risk & Governance: Integrate project risks into registers, build clear phasing plans, and present key metrics at settlement meetings.

  • Live Operations & Controls: Partner with Project Managers to build baseline master schedules and maintain site progress reporting.

  • Capability Building: Support on-site teams with progress tracking frameworks and periodic schedule updates.

Essential Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject. Strong background in project controls, cost/risk analysis, and commercial baselining.

  • Experience: Proven track record in multi-disciplinary construction (refurbishment, new build, or complex infrastructure).

  • Qualifications: HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant construction discipline alongside a valid CSCS card.
