Job Details & Pay Rates

• Job Title: MIG Welder
• Location: Peterlee, County Durham
• Job Type: Temporary - Ongoing
• Day Shift Rate: £19.55 per hour
• Afternoon Shift Rate: £23.46 per hour
• Night Shift Rate: £26.39 per hour
• Overtime 1.5 Rate (Mon-Sat): £29.33 per hour
• Overtime 2.0 Rate (Sundays): £39.10 per hour

Shift Patterns

• Days: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00 | Friday, 08:00 - 12:30
• Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00 | Friday, 12:30 - 17:00
• Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00 | Friday, 17:00 - 21:30

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision MIG welding on specialized fixtures and heavy-duty components.
• Work strictly to tight tolerances where quality and safety are the top priorities.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and utilize jigs for assembling heavy parts.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to strict safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with a team that takes immense pride in their craft.

Required & Desired Qualifications

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Welding (or an equivalent relevant qualification).
• Experience: Proven background in MIG welding with the ability to pass a trade test.
• Equipment: Comfort using overhead cranes and jigs in a heavy industrial setting.
• Mindset: A strong safety-first attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexibility: Readiness to work rotating shift patterns (Days, Backs, and Nights).
