About the role

Role: Children's Support Worker

Behind every behaviour is a feeling, and behind every feeling is a need. If you have the insight and empathy to see past a young person's challenging behaviour to the vulnerable child underneath, we need your skills at Randstad.

Randstad provides essential staffing to local authority children's services and private residential settings, particularly in and around Cwm/Blaenau Gwent. Because of our established relationships, we can promise you consistent, reliable work that actually fits around your life.

Your Role in Their Journey

  • Create a nurturing environment for children facing mental health struggles, emotional trauma, or neurodivergent challenges.

  • Put PACE model principles into action every shift to help children feel safe enough to open up and heal.

  • Maintain clear handovers on "Clear Care" and manage your shift choices seamlessly on the Randstad Scheduler app.

What You Need to Apply

  • Minimum 1 year of UK care experience working with children or young people. (Care workers with a UK background in adult complex behaviour are welcomed if skilled in trauma-informed care).

  • A full UK driving license and reliable car.

  • Existing Right to Work in the UK (we cannot offer visa sponsorship).

  • The ability to stay calm, patient, and compassionate when things get tough.

The Rewards

  • £16.00 - £20.00/hr, paid weekly.

  • Guaranteed shift availability across morning, evening, long day, and waking night rotas.

  • Free specialist training and support to gain your Level 3 qualification.

Bring your heart and experience to Cwm. Apply Today!
