A vibrant and inclusive South London FE college is seeking an enthusiastic Health & Social Care Lecturer to join their team from Easter. This long‑term cover role is to support the department during an extended staff absence, with full teaching responsibilities across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a practical, career‑focused FE environment. What you will be doing * Deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons across Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care pathways * Teach core units such as human lifespan development, safeguarding, equality & diversity, and working in health & social care * Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson resources, and assessments * Support learners with coursework, portfolios, and exam preparation * Track progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate learner achievement * Contribute to the wider curriculum and work collaboratively with the department What we are looking for * A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) * Strong subject knowledge and experience delivering Health & Social Care within FE or KS5 * Confident classroom and behaviour management * A supportive, collaborative approach and commitment to learner success If you are ready for your next step in FE and want to make a real impact in a South London college community, click ‘Apply Now’ to send your CV or get in touch for a friendly chat
