What you’ll do…

Forestry England are using Defra funding to actively growing the nation’s forests, planting around 1,000 hectares of new woodland each year to support carbon sequestration and biodiversity, produce sustainable timber and create resilient landscapes for future generations.

Forestry England is seeking a dynamic and skilled Engagement Manager to communicate and engage with our neighbours and local stakeholders as we design and deliver new woodlands. We will plant small broadleaf woodlands which link with/to ancient woodlands and larger forests designed for timber production, nature recovery, recreation and scientific research. You will engage diverse audiences in local communities, building awareness and support for our vital work. You will be based in our national woodland creation team alongside an existing Stakeholder Engagement manager, and you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Where you’ll work…

Any Forestry England office. Blended working arrangements will be considered. Some travel across England will be required with occasional overnight stays necessary.
