Finance Assistant

Element Recruitment are working with a fantastic professional services business in Yeovil who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their busy and supportive Finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in finance, cashiering or a transactional accounts role who enjoys working in a busy environment where accuracy and attention to detail are key.

The role will involve:

• Processing banking transactions, payments and money received
• Supporting with conveyancing completions and related financial transactions
• Managing client and office account transactions and reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and balances
• Supporting with month-end processes and reporting
• Resolving finance queries and working closely with colleagues across the business
• Ensuring financial processes and controls are followed correctly

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience within a finance, cashiering or transactional accounts role
• Experience within professional services would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A practical and organised approach to work
• Someone who is confident asking questions and highlighting anything that doesn’t look right
• The ability to work independently whilst also being part of a collaborative team
