Senior Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor | East Yorkshire | £50k–£70k + Package

Looking for a commercial role offering a varied workload, flexibility and a strong pipeline of projects across Yorkshire?

We're recruiting for an established regional contractor looking to strengthen their commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to work across a number of projects on the East Coast.

The role will predominantly involve time on site in the Bridlington/East Yorkshire area, combined with occasional visits to the Leeds office. Following successful completion of probation, there will also be the opportunity to work from home as part of the working week, giving you a good balance between site, office and home working.

The Role;

• Commercial responsibility for construction projects from procurement through to final account
• Manage subcontractor procurement, appointments, valuations and payments
• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
• Assess variations and manage change throughout the project
• Monitor project performance and identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Work closely with Site Managers and operational teams to drive project performance
• Manage client valuations and commercial reporting
• Negotiate subcontract and client final accounts
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team

What We're Looking For;

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction
• Main contractor experience would be particularly relevant
• Experience across housing, residential, care or similar building projects would be beneficial
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and commercial management
• Comfortable managing project costs, forecasting and reporting
