Synergy Personnel Services is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded and fast-growing legal practice in the search for an experienced Senior Associate / Partner to join its Retail Real Estate team based in Manchester.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious commercial property lawyer with strong experience in the retail and leisure sector to join a well-established national team acting for a broad portfolio of household-name retailers, landlords, developers, investors, and occupiers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients across a wide range of high-quality retail real estate matters, working closely with major national and international brands on strategic property transactions and portfolio management.

The Role

You will advise on a broad spectrum of non-contentious retail real estate matters, including:

• Acquisition and disposal of retail properties and portfolios
• Lease negotiations, renewals, regears, and surrenders
• Asset management and estate management matters
• Development and pre-let agreements
• Shopping centre, retail park, and mixed-use schemes
• Landlord and tenant matters
• Franchise and concession arrangements
• Strategic portfolio management for national occupiers

The role offers exposure to complex, high-value transactions alongside the opportunity to build and strengthen long-term client relationships within a highly collaborative environment.

About You

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• Significant experience within commercial real estate, ideally with a retail sector focus
• Senior Associate or existing Partner level experience
• Strong technical expertise across landlord & tenant and asset management matters
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercially focused advice
• Excellent communication and business development skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach

A following or client relationships would be advantageous but is not essential for the right individual.
