Trainee Machine Operator – Erdington

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Trainee Machine Operator to work at our client’s site in Erdington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a busy production environment.

Previous experience operating machinery is not essential. Our client is looking for individuals with the right attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in Production, Manufacturing or Warehouse Operative positions.

Rates of Pay:

• £12.71 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekly rotating shifts:
• Week 1: 6:00am to 2:30pm
• Week 2: 2:00pm to 10:30pm
• Fixed shifts may also be considered, subject to business requirements

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a Trainee Machine Operator are:

• Sorting products
• Loading machines
• Learning and understanding the production process
• Supporting experienced machine operators
• Operating machinery following training
• Assisting with machine set-up and operation
• Ensuring goods are processed correctly and efficiently
• Overseeing and supporting team members once fully trained

Training:

• Full training provided
• Training programme can take up to 12 months to complete
• Initial induction period working alongside experienced operatives
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
