About the role
Consultant - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Grayscale Medical is seeking an experienced Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for locum shifts at South West Acute Hospital (SWAH), part of the Western Health and Social Care Trust. This is a multi-date locum assignment covering both on-call and daytime commitments at £100/hr assignment rate.
Shifts available:
- 29 August 2026 — 24-hour on-call
- 1 September 2026 — 09:00–17:00
- 3 September 2026 — 09:00–17:00
- 4 September 2026 — 09:00–13:00
- 5 September 2026 — 09:00–17:00
- 8 September 2026 — 09:00–17:00
- 10 September 2026 — 09:00–17:00
- 11 September 2026 — 09:00–17:00
The role involves providing consultant-level obstetric and gynaecological care including labour ward oversight, emergency gynaecology assessment, elective procedures, and on-call cover. You will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting the maternity and gynaecology departments at SWAH.
Requirements:
- GMC registration with licence to practise and specialist registration in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Minimum 2 professional references
- Experience working at consultant level in O&G
