About the Role

Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting experienced ITU Nurses (RGNs) to work at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. We have a variety of flexible agency shifts available, giving you the opportunity to work around your lifestyle while earning excellent rates of pay.

As an ITU Nurse, you will care for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-support interventions. You will work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care in a fast-paced intensive care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor and manage ventilated and critically ill patients.
• Safely administer intravenous medications and infusions.
• Operate and monitor specialist ITU equipment.
• Recognise and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with NMC standards, infection prevention policies and hospital protocols.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC Pin.
• Minimum of 6 months’ recent UK ITU/ICU experience.
• Confident caring for ventilated and critically ill patients.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to provide satisfactory employment references.
• Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete).
