Finance Assistant – 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Birchwood
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Working pattern: Full or Part-time hours considered

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy and growing finance team based in Birchwood on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised finance professional to support the day-to-day running of the finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance team, ensuring financial records are accurate, processes are completed efficiently, and key deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Assistant, your duties will include:

• Processing purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Raising sales invoices and processing supplier payments
• Performing bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Supporting with the preparation of journals and financial reports
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Investigating and resolving invoice, payment and reconciliation queries
• Assisting with cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Supporting the Finance Manager and wider team with ad-hoc finance and administrative duties
