About the role
Thames Learning Trust are looking to appoint highly motivated, resilient Senior Finance Officer to join the central finance team based at Baylis Court School in Slough, reporting to the Trust’s Director of Finance and supporting the Finance Controller.
The post holder should have gained full or part qualified status across one of the professionally recognised accountancy qualifications.
This position will provide budget monitoring and day to day accounting information across the Trust to the Finance Controller, budget holders, Finance team and Director of Finance. You will provide operational support to the Finance Controller and provide guidance to the transactional function of the Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the Trusts Director of Finance in budget monitoring, procurement processes and ensuring the school uses its funding wisely and continues to gain value for money (VFM);
- To support the Senior Management Team during the year end accounts process
- To support the Senior Management Team during the annual budget setting process.
- To ensure that processes and systems are being met to match income against expenditure;
- Payroll Monitoring Returns
- Special Education Needs - Budget Monitoring
- Payment of supplier invoices where required
