Joneshouse Recruitment is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join a specialist SEND school where creativity, wellbeing, and personalised learning are central to success.

This is an Outstanding independent special educational needs school operating across two sites.
The school supports students aged 11–19, primarily with autism and associated needs. Pupils benefit from a safe, low-sensory environment alongside an ambitious curriculum offering GCSEs and enrichment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons tailored to individual pupil needs

Support pupils through personalised and creative learning approaches

Encourage independence, curiosity, and self-expression through art

Prepare materials and demonstrate safe use of tools and equipment

Maintain and care for art resources and learning environments

Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
Requirements

A strong commitment and passion for working with pupils with SEND
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND or similar specialist setting
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS desirable
-
Full UK driving licence

Creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching
