Commencing - ASAP

Term Time + 3 Weeks

15 hours per week

Monday to Friday, 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Salary - £24,796 FTE*

Actual Salary - £9,085 p.a.*

*pending 2026 pay award

The Role

Watling Academy is seeking a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the Academy. You will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our school community by ensuring that learning environments are clean, safe and well-presented.

As part of the site team, you will clean a range of areas including classrooms, corridors, communal spaces and washroom facilities. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces and touchpoints, and safely disposing of waste. You will also replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet tissue, and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Cleaning Manager.

This role requires someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work and has a strong attention to detail. You will be able to work independently, follow cleaning schedules effectively, and adhere to health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
