Deputy Manager – Clinical

Radiant Jobs Ltd is recruiting a clinically experienced Deputy Manager for a London care service. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will provide strong operational and clinical leadership, support nursing and care teams and help maintain excellent standards for residents with complex needs. The role requires sound judgement, effective people management and a clear focus on governance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and deputise for the Home Manager.
• Lead nursing and care colleagues to deliver safe, high-quality care.
• Oversee care for residents with complex needs.
• Maintain strong standards of governance, compliance and clinical practice.
• Audit care delivery, procedures and documentation.
• Build constructive relationships with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Coach and develop colleagues while maintaining clear performance expectations.
• Drive practical service improvements and support effective day-to-day operations.

Essential Requirements

• Proven line-management experience within a care-home setting.
• Strong knowledge of residential and/or nursing care operations.
• Experience supporting residents with complex needs.
• Good understanding of clinical governance and regulatory requirements.
• Confident leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

Qualifications Required

• Relevant nursing, health or social-care qualification appropriate to the role; current professional registration where applicable.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous Deputy Manager experience.
• Evidence of leadership development and continuous professional development.
