Key Responsibilities
Take day-to-day ownership of communications strategy, content, media/PR, campaigns, stakeholder engagement, channels, issues and measurement.
Apply sound professional judgement to plan and deliver clear, engaging communications that protect and strengthen reputation.
Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.
Look for practical opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, customer experience or outcomes.
Maintain current knowledge, skills and professional development relevant to the role.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrable experience working as a Communications Manager or in a closely related role.
Practical experience relevant to Corporate Communications & PR.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.
Qualifications Required
Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing or related discipline; CIPR/CIM desirable.
Desirable Requirements
Previous experience in a comparable Corporate Communications & PR environment.
Additional relevant professional training, certification or membership.
Evidence of continuous professional development and up-to-date sector knowledge.
Experience improving processes, service standards or team performance.
A proactive, dependable and solutions-focused approach.
