Our school

Churchill Primary School is set in a beautiful rural location within North Somerset. We have a modern, well-resourced building with seven classes. Outside we have attractive grounds and play areas.

We are looking for a team member who is enthusiastic, committed to inspiring a love of learning and has high expectations of themselves and pupils. Our motto, 'With kind hearts and determined minds, we inspire each other to be the best we can be' permeates all aspects of our school and we would expect the successful candidate to bring this commitment to their role in school.

We had Ofsted in March this year and was delighted with our report. We are incredibly pleased with this report. It reflects the special atmosphere and approach to learning in our school. I am particularly proud of the 'strong standard' recognition for both inclusion and personal development and wellbeing, as the team work incredibly hard to support every pupil every day. We really believe in our school values and they underpin all that we do; I am delighted this was evident to the inspection team.

We see children as incredible and powerful learners. Our team provide exciting learning experiences and challenges, which feed our children's curiosity of the world and embrace their inquisitive nature, so that they are able to live life in all its fullness.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Partner (previously known as a Learning Support Assistant) to join our friendly team here at Churchill Primary School.

We are looking for:

A flexible team player who is positive, passionate about their job and a problem solver

Someone that can develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with pupils, the staff team and parents

A committed person confident in working with the class teacher to support/develop learning of individual pupils, groups or the whole class

Someone that can use their own initiative

A person with a good sense of humour

Someone who can demonstrate strong behaviour management

A person who is self-motivated, creative and flexible

In return our friendly, engaging school can offer:

A truly inclusive school where every member of the school community really matters

A strong, collaborative culture of hard-working, dedicated staff who support one another

Skilled and enthusiastic staff that are committed to further developing their practice

Caring and respectful pupils who are proud of their school and work with independence and enthusiasm

An opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our children and their families

A commitment to CPD opportunities

Warm relationships with the local community, supportive Governors and parents
