Barista

Radiant Jobs Ltd is seeking an experienced Barista for a temporary opportunity in Oxford. The role sits within Hospitality, Events & Retail and is aligned to Cafés & Retail. This role is suited to a capable professional who can prepare quality coffee and beverages while delivering warm customer service. Working within Cafés & Retail, you will take ownership of espresso preparation, milk texturing, till operation, food display, cleaning, stock and customer service. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical or professional capability with sound judgement, clear communication and a consistently high standard of service. You will be expected to become effective quickly, adapt to the client environment and deliver confidently from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of espresso preparation, milk texturing, till operation, food display, cleaning, stock and customer service.
• Apply sound professional judgement to prepare quality coffee and beverages while delivering warm customer service.
• Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
• Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
• Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.
• Look for practical opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, customer experience or outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge, skills and professional development relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Barista or in a closely related role.
• Practical experience relevant to Cafés & Retail.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.

Qualifications Required

• Barista training or specialty coffee experience desirable; Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
