Security Manager

We are recruiting an accomplished Security Manager for a professional permanent opportunity in Nottingham. The role sits within Industrial, Logistics & Security and is aligned to Corporate & Venue Security. This role is suited to a capable professional who can lead security operations, risk controls and service performance. Working within Corporate & Venue Security, you will take ownership of risk assessment, staffing, procedures, incidents, client liaison, compliance, budgets and performance reporting. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical or professional capability with sound judgement, clear communication and a consistently high standard of service. Key Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of risk assessment, staffing, procedures, incidents, client liaison, compliance, budgets and performance reporting.
• Apply sound professional judgement to lead security operations, risk controls and service performance.
• Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
• Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
• Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.
• Look for practical opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, customer experience or outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge, skills and professional development relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Security Manager or in a closely related role.
• Practical experience relevant to Corporate & Venue Security.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and site procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Valid SIA licence and significant security management experience; management qualification desirable.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience in a comparable Corporate & Venue Security environment.
• Additional relevant professional training, certification or membership.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and up-to-date sector knowledge.
• Experience improving processes, service standards or team performance.
