Data Scientist

Radiant Jobs Ltd is seeking an experienced Data Scientist for a temporary opportunity in London. The role sits within Technology, Data & Digital and is aligned to Data Science & AI. This role is suited to a capable professional who can develop analytical models that solve meaningful business problems. Working within Data Science & AI, you will take ownership of data preparation, statistical modelling, machine learning, experimentation, validation, deployment support and communication. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical or professional capability with sound judgement, clear communication and a consistently high standard of service. You will be expected to become effective quickly, adapt to the client environment and deliver confidently from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of data preparation, statistical modelling, machine learning, experimentation, validation, deployment support and communication.
• Apply sound professional judgement to develop analytical models that solve meaningful business problems.
• Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
• Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
• Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Data Scientist or in a closely related role.
• Practical experience relevant to Data Science & AI.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.
• Good understanding of security, quality and documentation practices.

Qualifications Required

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline; postgraduate study desirable.

• Previous experience in a comparable Data Science & AI environment.
• Additional relevant professional training, certification or membership.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and up-to-date sector knowledge.
