Logistics Coordinator

Radiant Jobs Ltd is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator for a temporary opportunity in London. The role sits within Industrial, Logistics & Security and is aligned to Transport & Distribution. This role is suited to a capable professional who can coordinate the efficient movement of goods and transport activity. Working within Transport & Distribution, you will take ownership of bookings, scheduling, tracking, documentation, carrier liaison, customer updates, exceptions and KPI reporting. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical or professional capability with sound judgement, clear communication and a consistently high standard of service. You will be expected to become effective quickly, adapt to the client environment and deliver confidently from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of bookings, scheduling, tracking, documentation, carrier liaison, customer updates, exceptions and KPI reporting.
• Apply sound professional judgement to coordinate the efficient movement of goods and transport activity.
• Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
• Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
• Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.
• Look for practical opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, customer experience or outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge, skills and professional development relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Logistics Coordinator or in a closely related role.
• Practical experience relevant to Transport & Distribution.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and site procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Logistics, supply-chain or transport qualification desirable; relevant coordination experience required.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience in a comparable Transport & Distribution environment.
• Additional relevant professional training, certification or membership.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and up-to-date sector knowledge.
• Experience improving processes, service standards or team performance.
