SEN Teaching Assistants Needed in Hemel Hempstead - September Start

Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in children's lives? We are recruiting dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants for primary and secondary schools across Hemel Hempstead starting this September.

Role Overview

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-time & Part-time available)

• Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

• Start Date: September 2026

• Pay: £80 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).

• Assist learners with autism (ASD), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), or social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.

• Build trust, encourage independence, and foster a safe, positive environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience supporting SEN students in a school, care, or youth work setting (preferred).

• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability.

• A proactive, resilient attitude with a passion for inclusive education.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
