Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking to practice within one of the North West's top-performing local authorities?
Following an "Outstanding" rating from Ofsted, Blackpool Council is seeking a dedicated, skilled Children's Social Worker to join their Children's Services team. Earning a top market rate of £39.00 per hour, you will join an authority recognized for its outstanding leadership, high-quality social work practice, and deeply embedded strengths-based family model.
Key Responsibilities:
Complex Statutory Work: Manage a statutory caseload including pre-birth assessments, complex Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Public Law Outline (PLO) / Pre-proceedings.
Court Excellence: Produce high-quality, analytical court statements, child and family assessments, and robust risk management plans.
Team Collaboration: Support team quality by modeling best practice, participating in reflective discussions, and assisting less experienced team members.
Child-Centred Practice: Build trusted, relational partnerships with children and families to improve their lived experiences.
What We Are Looking For:
Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Core Competencies: Proven experience in PLO, court proceedings, pre-birth assessments, and statutory child protection.
Skills: Strong analytical assessment abilities, excellent report writing, and a child-focused mindset.
