Randstad is looking for compassionate Social Work Assistants to join our team for roles within the Belfast and surrounding areas. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside Social Workers to deliver essential support, practical guidance, and family care plans to make a real difference in the lives of local children and young people.

Requirements
- 6-12 months previous paid social care experience essential
- Registered with NI Social Care Council (NISCC)
- Valid UK Driving licence and Car Business Insurance essential
- Fully up-to-date immunisations including Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Ability to build rapport and communicate with parents, young people, and social care professionals
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical family support plans, advising parents on routines, behaviour, and budgeting.
- Arrange and supervise family contact sessions, managing transport and required paperwork.
- Gather family information to directly contribute to social work care assessments.
- Coordinate local community resources, respite, and family support services.
- Maintain clear records and immediately report any child protection or risk concerns.
