Support Worker - Island Placements (Urgent Start)
Locations: Care Homes across Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, & Argyll and Bute
Pay Rates: £23.00/hr (Umbrella)
Contract: Minimum 3 Months (Immediate Start)

We are urgently seeking dedicated, professional Support Worker for 3-month placements within established care homes in Scotland's stunning island and coastal regions. If you are ready to travel, make a real difference, and start earning straight away, we want to hear from you!

💰 What's on Offer?
  • Highly Competitive Pay:

    • Umbrella: £23.00 per hour

    • Guaranteed Hours: 45+ hours per week (excellent earning potential!).

📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Care & Support: Provide high-quality, person-centered care to older adults within a care home setting, strictly following personalized care plans.

  • Daily Living Assistance: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.

  • Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and closely monitor resident well-being.

  • Safety & Teamwork: Maintain a safe, supportive living environment, managing moving and handling tasks safely, and undertaking lone working duties where required.

✔️ Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting older adults in a care setting (previous care home experience is highly preferred).

  • Core Skills: Proficient in personal care, safe moving and handling, and medication administration.

  • Location Flexibility: Previous experience with island or remote placements is a major plus, but not essential.

  • Driving License: A driving license is preferred due to travel distances, but not mandatory.

  • Gender-Specific Roles: We are specifically seeking female staff due to the personal care requirements of our current residents; however, male staff may be utilized in certain circumstances.*

*Occupational Requirement: Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
