About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Agent to lead drainage and bridge deck works on a major infrastructure project in Buckfastleigh, Devon.

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of the project while maintaining a strong health and safety culture.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Manage all site activities for drainage and bridge deck works.

• Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Monitor programme, progress, and budgets, reporting to senior management.

• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including RAMS, site diaries, and project records.

• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders.

• Manage resource allocation and procurement schedules.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and add value throughout the project.

Requirements

• CSCS Gold Card (minimum) – Essential

• SMSTS – Essential

• First Aid at Work – Essential

• Proven experience managing drainage and bridge deck projects.

• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

• Experience with risk management and site compliance documentation.
