United Kingdom Mesh Energy LET’S TALK ABOUT A CAREER AT MESH ENERGY As a growing MEP consultancy, we are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding what clients are trying to achieve, and helping them find the right solution. This is not a high-volume sales role. Our clients are typically architects, developers & contractors, and success comes from building trust, understanding their projects, and working closely with our engineers to develop credible technical proposals. You will inherit a warm network of contacts we have worked with previously or delivered CPDs to, giving you a strong foundation from day one. Through structured training and support, you will learn how to turn client conversations into technical scopes and proposals, eventually developing the skills to manage enquiries independently. You will work closely with the leadership & operations team, gaining exposure to both the commercial and technical sides of the business while helping strengthen Mesh’s client relationships and pipeline. YOU ARE * Personable and relationship focused * Curious and eager to learn * A strong communicator * Comfortable speaking with new people * Commercially minded * Motivated by helping clients solve problems THE GOOD STUFF * Passion, integrity and a positive attitude * Excellent communication skills * Strong organisational and followup skills * Comfortable working independently and as part of a team * Interested in technical subjects and willing to learn KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Relationship & Business Development * Reengage architects and industry contacts who have previously worked with Mesh or attended CPD sessions * Build new relationships with architects, developers and other industry contacts over time * Conduct discovery calls to understand project requirements and client objectives * Develop opportunities through referrals, CPD networks and existing relationships * Produce comprehensive proposal documents to reflect scope of work Learning & Development * Shadow senior sales team on more complex opportunities * Participate in training, CPDs and ongoing development activities * Continuously build understanding of MEP consultancy services, project delivery and client requirements * Develop increasing confidence in technical scoping and proposal preparation THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR Essential * 1–2 years’ experience in a B2B sales environment * Strong listening and communication skills * Organised with good attention to detail * Comfortable maintaining CRM records and activity tracking * Willingness to learn technical concepts and processes Desirable * Exposure to engineering, construction, sustainability or a related technical sector * Previous experience using a CRM platform such as ClickUp * Experience preparing proposals, quotations or clientfacing documents TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT A structured six-month onboarding programme will be provided, including shadowing engineers and senior consultants, supported discovery calls, proposal and scope review sessions, CRM and process training, technical services training, and regular coaching and feedback.
