Specialty Trainee (ST3) - ENT - Craigavon Area Hospital

Locum Specialty Trainee (ST3) position in ENT at Craigavon Area Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a 24-hour on-call shift (08:30–08:30) within the ENT department covering surgical and clinical services. The role involves managing ENT emergencies, ward reviews, and supporting the on-call surgical team.

You will be responsible for assessing and managing acute ENT presentations including epistaxis, peritonsillar abscess, airway compromise, and post-operative complications. The department handles a mix of elective and emergency workload across head and neck surgery, otology, and rhinology.

Requirements: ST3+ level training in ENT or equivalent experience, valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. Experience in managing ENT emergencies independently is essential.
