Work Location: Tithe Barn, Bosworth Battlefield, Visitor Centre & Country Park, Ambion Ln, La, Nuneaton CV13 0AD

Salary: £24,423 - £24,582 per annum (Pro rata for part time) Pay award pending 

Working Hours: 16 hours per week (5 days out of 7 including bank holidays and weekends on a rota basis)

Contract Type: Permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team at Tithe Barn. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality catering services within a busy and welcoming environment.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages, ensuring customers receive an excellent experience. You will be responsible for helping to prepare service areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, operating as part of a team, and ensuring catering facilities are presented to the highest standard.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Experience in a catering, hospitality or café environment is desirable, although training will be provided. A commitment to maintaining food safety, health and safety standards, and providing a clean and welcoming environment is essential.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience within the hospitality and catering sector while contributing to the success of a valued community facility. We are looking for someone who is flexible, hardworking and committed to delivering outstanding service to our customers and visitors.

The position is based on a working pattern of 5 days from 7, including weekends and Bank/Public Holidays, and may require occasional work outside normal working hours to meet business needs.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Basic knowledge of Food Safety/Health and Safety
  • Previous food preparation experience
  • Willingness to undertake training as required
  • Good rapport with customers 
  • Ability to lift and handle kitchen equipment
  • A flexible approach to working, including out-of-hours
  • Must be able to communicate with staff,  customers and colleagues.
