Roles are either ‘site based’ or ‘home based’.
Site based roles are mainly based at the workplace, with the option to work from home for up to two days a week, depending on service needs.
Home based roles are mainly based at home, with the expectation of attending the workplace up to one day a week.
The working arrangement for each role is set by the manager, based on service requirements.
Job IntroductionWe’re recruiting a Senior Regulatory Practitioner to join our Environmental Protection and Noise Team at Milton Keynes City Council. This is a key role within our Regulatory Service, leading on the investigation and resolution of complex noise issues affecting residents, communities and businesses across Milton Keynes.
Working at the forefront of environmental protection, you will manage a varied caseload of statutory nuisance and noise-related investigations, provide specialist advice, undertake enforcement activity where necessary, and work proactively with residents, businesses and partner organisations to deliver positive outcomes. You will also support the wider objectives of the Regulatory Service, helping to protect and improve the health, wellbeing and quality of life of our communities.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll provide technical expertise, lead specialist areas of work, support the development of colleagues and contribute to the effective delivery of the service. This role may be suitable for home working, following an assessment. Home‑based roles require a minimum of one day per week working from the office or site
