Join the East Midlands Special Operations Unit Forensic Services team as Tier 1 Fingerprint Identification Officer. Working collaboratively, you’ll ensure a high-quality service is delivered surrounding an extensive range of specialist technical and administrative functions. You’ll also provide expert advice and attend crime scenes to effectively recover and examine fingerprints.
What you’ll be doing
- Examining and processing fingerprints and scene of crime marks in line policy and procedure.
- Ensuring custody fingerprint applications are efficient, effective and compliant.
- Maximising performance by challenging existing processes and using innovation to establish best practice.
The must haves
- ISO/IEC 17025:2017 quality standard knowledge relating to Forensic Services and Forensic Science Regulators Codes of Practice and Conduct.
- Be able to solve problems and make decisions using excellent attention to detail.
- Have excellent communication skills at all levels.
