Press Brake Operator

Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator looking to join a dynamic engineering team in Thatcham Berkshire on a temporary contract?

Our client is seeking a skilled engineer to set and operate CNC brake presses and folding machinery, producing high-quality components to exact specifications. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a clean, safe environment where teamwork and continuous improvement are valued.

Pay & Shifts:

• From £16.00 to £20.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday (39 hours per week)
• 06:00am to 16:30pm (Early finish on Fridays)

Key requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience setting and operating CNC punch and press brake machines.
• Proven ability with folding equipment, spot welding and de-burring using manual and automated tools.
• Strong focus on quality assurance, safety and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and team player mindset.

Main responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC brake presses according to production orders.
• Load tooling and programmes correctly, ensuring product protection.
• Conduct ongoing quality assurance checks.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and report health & safety concerns promptly.
• Train and mentor junior colleagues and trainees.
• Assist fabrication projects and materials handling where required.
