The Role

We’re recruiting for a Portfolio Benefits Analyst here at Justice Digital, Data and Science, to be part of our warm and collaborative Delivery Governance Office.

As the Portfolio Benefits Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the successful identification, tracking, assurance and realisation of benefits across Justice Digital, Data and Science. You will provide insightful analysis, robust reporting, and benefits management support to enable effective decision-making and maximise the value delivered through change initiatives.

The role would suit an individual who is naturally analytical, detail-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to improve the quality of benefits data and strengthen benefits management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance and implementation of a robust benefits management framework, ensuring benefits are identified, tracked, measured and reported consistently across initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Benefits Lead to provide assurance that benefits are realistic, measurable and aligned to organisational strategic objectives.
  • Support the collection, collation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative benefits data to support portfolio governance, strategic decision-making and benefits realisation reporting.
  • Conduct first-line assurance activities, including data quality checks, validation of benefits information and identification of risks, issues and gaps within benefits management processes.
  • Maintain portfolio benefits trackers, logs and reporting tools, ensuring data is accurate, timely and suitable for governance and leadership reporting.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to support effective management and reporting of benefits throughout the initiative lifecycle.
  • Support closure activities by reviewing benefits data and ensuring appropriate arrangements are in place for post-closure benefits tracking.
  • Identify trends, patterns and insights from portfolio benefits data, highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and the sharing of lessons learned across the portfolio.
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on benefits management processes, reporting requirements and portfolio standards.
  • Coordinate and support benefits review meetings, governance activities and stakeholder communications, ensuring actions and outcomes are effectively captured and communicated.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of benefits management tools, templates, processes and reporting approaches, supporting the development of a mature benefits management capability across the organisation.
  • Build positive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the portfolio, helping to promote a culture of benefits-led delivery and evidence-based decision-making.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Strong analytical skills with experience of collecting, analysing and reporting quantitative and qualitative data, and the ability to interpret complex information, identify trends and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Experience maintaining accurate management information, data repositories, trackers or reporting systems, with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
