Supply Science Teacher (Secondary) - Torbay & Surrounding Areas - September Start

Are you a dedicated Secondary Science Teacher seeking a professional and flexible teaching arrangement for September 2026? We are currently recruiting qualified educators for day-to-day and general supply cover bookings across various secondary schools in Torbay and the surrounding areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for teachers who prioritise professional autonomy and a balanced schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, pre-planned Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

• Provide adaptable general subject cover as required by the host institutions.

• Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment consistent with individual school policies.

• Ensure the continuous safety and well-being of all pupils throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or extensive relevant UK secondary teaching experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of the UK Secondary National Curriculum.

• Requirement to hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to initiate this process immediately.

• Reliable transport to commute to secondary schools within the Torbay area.
