About the role
Aerospace Brazer
Location: Titchfield, Hampshire
Department: Metal Finishing & Treatments
Contract: PAYE Contract (initially to June 2026)
Working Hours (Training Shift): Mon-Thu: 07:30-16:15 | Fri: 07:30-11:30 (37 hrs per week)
Late Shift (Post Training): Mon-Thu: 14:00-23:45 (37 hrs per week)
Pay Rates (PAYE)
- Basic: £18.13 rising to £18.68 after 12 weeks (£20.77 → £21.40 inc. holiday)
- Lates: (+20%): £21.76 rising to £22.42 (£24.92 → £25.68 inc. holiday)
- OT: £27.20 rising to £28.03 (£31.15 → £32.10 inc. holiday)
- Sun: £36.26 rising to £37.37 (£41.54 → £42.80 inc. holiday)
Further pay progression available.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and comply with ITAR requirements.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Heat Treatments Technician to join a leading aerospace manufacturer, supporting the production and repair of safety-critical components.
Working within a highly regulated environment, you'll carry out brazing and heat treatment processes to exacting aerospace standards, ensuring quality, traceability and compliance throughout.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare components for brazing, including cleaning, assembly and fixturing
- Operate vacuum, furnace and controlled-atmosphere brazing equipment
- Carry out brazing and heat treatment processes to aerospace specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Complete visual and dimensional inspections
- Maintain accurate quality and traceability records
- Work in line with aerospace, NADCAP and customer requirements
- Support continuous improvement activities and maintain high housekeeping standards
What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential
- Experience in brazing, welding, heat treatment or similar thermal processing environments
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of quality systems and traceability requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Aerospace, defence or precision engineering experience
- Engineering or manufacturing qualification
- Aerospace brazing certification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of heat treatment processes and aerospace quality standards
