About the role
Retirement Villages Group is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team at Gradwell Retirement Village based in South Chailey, Lewes to work Wednesday - Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm (18 hours per week)
We are committed to creating comfortable and enjoyable living environments for our residents, and housekeeping plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and comfort.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and order of residents' living spaces, common areas, and other facilities in accordance with our high cleanliness standards. Your flexibility and willingness to adapt to different working environments will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize residents' apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, lounges, and recreational spaces.
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding residents' clothing and linens.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.
- Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
- Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed.
- Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed.
- Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work across multiple retirement villages as needed.
