Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

Intermediate Mechanical Engineer | Billericay, Essex | £40,000 – £50,000 DOE | Hybrid

We’re working with an established multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to its M&E team in Billericay.

You’ll work across a varied portfolio, with a particular focus on Healthcare and Education projects, supporting mechanical building services design from concept through to completion.

The role:

• Deliver mechanical building services designs across multiple projects

• Produce calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports

• Support projects from concept through construction and completion

• Liaise directly with clients and understand project requirements

• Review tenders and provide technical recommendations

• Carry out site surveys, inspections and condition reports

• Monitor installation works and project progress

• Work with IES, AutoCAD and Revit

• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers and wider multidisciplinary teams

• Ensure designs comply with relevant CIBSE guidance, Building Regulations and industry standards

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering

• Experience in mechanical building services design

• Experience using IES

• AutoCAD experience

• Revit experience preferred

• Understanding of CIBSE guidance, Building Regulations and relevant legislation

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• Strong communication and project delivery skills
