Finance Assistant

A new role has been created with an established business in Caerphilly who are now recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Finance this role will initially be responsible for transactional duties including Sales and Purchase Ledger invoice processing, however over time the duties will expand to include various month end activities.

Finance Assistant job description

• Support the day-to-day activities of the Finance team
• Purchase ledger invoice processing, bank reconciliation, resolving queries, ensuring PODs are present when needed.
• Liaising with sales order processing colleague and raising sales ledger invoices.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate supporting documentation and audit trails
• Become involved in additional month end duties including producing quarterly VAT Returns, processing accrual and prepayments.

Finance Assistant person specification

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Completed or studying towards AAT qualification.
• Resilient, able to work in a changing environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
