Brierley Hill, Dudley Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd Job Title: CNC Miller (Hurco) Location: Brierley Hill, West Midlands Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent 4 DAY WEEK Role Overview A precision engineering specialist based near Brierley Hill is seeking an experienced Hurco CNC Miller to join a highly skilled machine shop team. This role involves setting, programming, and operating Hurco CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components. You will work from technical drawings to produce low-to-medium volume batch work alongside prototype components for a variety of demanding industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities * Program, set, and operate Hurco CNC milling machines using WinMax controls. * Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric tolerances. * Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and work-holding solutions for specific materials. * Inspect finished parts using standard precision measuring tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges). * Perform basic routine maintenance on machines and keep working areas safe and clean. * Resolve technical issues efficiently and maintain high standards of accuracy. Candidate Requirements * Proven, hands-on experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment. * Direct experience programming, setting, and operating Hurco CNC milling machines (WinMax control experience is essential). * Strong capability in reading and working directly from technical blueprints. * Solid understanding of cutting tools, metal cutting techniques, and material properties. * Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a reliable team-player mindset.
