Essential criteria:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar accounting role;
• Strong understanding of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control processes;
• Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting month-end processes;
• Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;
• Strong organisational and time management skills;
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems;
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience using Sage 200;
• Knowledge of VAT and Intrastat reporting requirements;
• Experience working within a manufacturing, distribution or FMCG environment;
• AAT qualification or progress towards a recognised accounting qualification;
• Knowledge and experience of accounting processes involving both Sterling (GBP) and Euro currencies
