About the role
Location: Central London
12 month + contract
The OpportunityOur client is a joint venture between two major international oil and gas companies. While backed by two large and well-established organisations, the London business itself is a small, close-knit and growing team of approximately 20 people.
This creates a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys the pace and variety of a smaller organisation, while benefiting from the backing, resources and international reach of major global businesses.
As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and highly organised Corporate Services & HR Projects Officer to help shape and improve the way the business operates.
This is a broad, visible and hands-on role, offering exposure across Corporate Services, Procurement, HR systems, business processes, policy development and strategic projects. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, colleagues across the wider Group and external service providers, playing an important role in supporting the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Corporate Services activities across the organisation, identifying gaps, dependencies and opportunities to improve governance, collaboration and operational efficiency.
- Act as the key focal point for Procurement services, coordinating business requirements and liaising with the external service provider to monitor service delivery, resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of the Group HR system, including gathering business requirements, coordinating project activities, liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders, supporting testing and contributing to change management and successful deployment.
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of corporate policies, procedures and business processes, ensuring they remain practical, consistent and aligned with business objectives.
- Coordinate and support a range of Corporate Services initiatives and strategic projects, helping to maintain alignment between stakeholders, priorities and delivery requirements.
- Build effective working relationships across the business, the wider Group and external partners to support communication, collaboration and successful project delivery.
You should ideally have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience coordinating projects, business initiatives or cross-functional activities.
- Experience supporting the implementation of a business or HR system would be highly advantageous.
- Experience developing, reviewing or improving policies, procedures and business processes.
- Previous experience working within an international or matrix organisation would be beneficial.
You will bring:
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- An analytical and solutions-focused mindset.
- The ability to work effectively across multiple functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, hands-on and results-oriented approach.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
You won't be joining a large corporate department where your role is narrowly defined. Instead, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, gain exposure across multiple business functions and play a meaningful role in helping shape the company's processes and ways of working as it grows.
