Milk Education is seeking caring, resilient and dedicated Learning Mentors to work across a range of primary schools in South Manchester from September.
We’re looking to connect with experienced Learning Mentors, Behaviour Mentors, Pastoral Support Workers, Teaching Assistants and education professionals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential.
The successful candidate may support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence, engagement, attendance and wider pastoral needs, depending on the school and individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
- Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and improve engagement
- Support children with behaviour, emotional regulation and confidence
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage progress
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and personal development
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and wider school staff
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Experience in a school, education, youth work, pastoral or support setting
- Experience supporting behaviour, SEMH or additional needs is desirable
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Relevant education, childcare, youth work or support qualifications are desirable
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcomed
