Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with a leading technology business specialising in electric motor technology. This role provides a unique opportunity 
to combine deep technical expertise with future leadership responsibilities, allowing you to play a key role in both product innovation and team development as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the technical development of power electronics systems for current and next-generation products. 
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across power electronics, motor drives and electrified powertrain systems. 
• Support the delivery of multiple engineering projects, ensuring technical milestones, deadlines and customer requirements are achieved. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust, manufacturable and cost-effective product solutions. 
• Review, challenge and refine engineering requirements, specifications and design outputs. 
• Lead investigations into technical issues, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement activities. 
• Support product verification, validation and system testing activities, including analysis of test data and reporting of results. 
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and external partners, acting as a key technical contact and escalation point. 
• Provide mentoring, coaching and technical guidance to engineers across the business. 
• Contribute to the development of engineering standards, processes and best practice within the Power Electronics team. 

Key Requirements
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics or a related discipline. 
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards professional accreditation would be advantageous. 
• Evidence of continued professional development within power electronics, electrification or related technologies.
• Significant industrial experience in power electronics development within automotive, electric vehicle, motorsport, rail, aerospace, industrial drive systems or similar sectors. 
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of power electronics, electrical machines and drive systems. 
• Experience developing products from concept through to production. 
• Proven experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams. 
• Experience supporting customer-facing projects and managing technical stakeholders. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams and influence engineering decisions. 
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers is highly desirable. 
• Experience operating within a fast-paced, innovative environment with changing priorities and customer requirements. 
• Understanding of functional safety, product validation and industry standards would be advantageous.
