Manufacturing Team Manager North Devon based Copello are partnering with a leading global manufacturing business to recruit a Manufacturing Team Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or operations professional looking to lead a high-performing manufacturing team within a fast-paced engineering environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of a defined production area, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in driving operational performance, developing teams, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across your designated production area. Manage, coach and develop both hourly and salaried team members, ensuring resources are effectively aligned to production demand. Drive operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Champion a positive safety culture, ensuring best practice is embedded across the production environment. Deliver against key operational KPIs, including productivity, quality, on-time delivery and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste and increase performance. Work closely with maintenance and facilities teams to maximise equipment availability and plant performance. Foster a collaborative, engaged and high-performing team culture by recognising success, developing capability and empowering individuals to make decisions. Provide clear leadership, direction and support to achieve business objectives. About You We're keen to speak with candidates who have: A degree qualification or equivalent industry experience. Previous experience within a manufacturing or operations leadership role. Experience managing, coaching and developing production teams. A strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, including tools such as 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work and Visual Management. Proven problem-solving experience using structured improvement techniques such as A3 or 8D. Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. The ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery. A proactive approach with a genuine passion for developing people and driving positive change.
