Mechanical Fitter

Our client, a respected organisation in the Transmission & Distribution (T & D) sector, is currently seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters for a 4-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components and systems
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Conducting routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Working alongside electrical fitters to ensure integrated system functionality
• Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines, particularly those applicable to NG Persons
• Operating as a Slinger Signaller to manage the safe movement of loads
• Documenting and reporting all work completed for compliance and tracking purposes

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role
• Familiarity with electrical fitting tasks
• Certification as an NG Person
• Qualified and experienced as a Slinger Signaller
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work 50 hours per week as required
