Field Care Supervisor / Senior Care Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant or Field Care Supervisor to lead our community care teams. In this role, you will bridge the gap between office operations and field care delivery, ensuring high-quality, CQC-compliant care across the Manchester region.

Key Responsibilities

• Care Planning & Risk Assessments: Conduct initial home assessments for prospective clients and create detailed, person-centered care plans and risk management strategies.

• Staff Supervision: Perform regular field supervisions, spot checks, and annual appraisals for Home Care Assistants to maintain care standards.

• Emergency Response: Provide hands-on care coverage during urgent staffing gaps or complex client visits.

• Client Reviews: Liaise with family members, social workers, GPs, and district nurses to update care plans as clients’ needs evolve.

• On-Call Rota: Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rotation to support field staff and handle urgent client queries.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in UK domiciliary/home care.

• Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).

• Driving: Full UK Driving License with access to a personal vehicle insured for business use.

• Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards, safeguarding procedures, and MAR chart auditing.

• Checks: Must pass an Enhanced DBS check and supply two professional healthcare references.
