About the role
Client: Southwark Council
Location: Council Offices, Frensham Street, Southwark, Surrey, SE156TH, United Kingdom
PAYE Pay Rate: £28.96 per hour
Work Pattern: 36 per week
Main Purpose
The Contract Manager will oversee the delivery of the voids programme, managing contractors to ensure properties are completed safely, to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Typical Day
- Monitor contractor performance and KPIs.
- Attend contractor performance meetings.
- Identify and resolve delays or issues.
- Check quality and compliance.
- Work with Service Managers to coordinate workloads.
- Prepare performance reports.
- Drive improvements in turnaround times.
Key Skills / Responsibilities
- Contract and contractor management.
- Performance monitoring and reporting.
- Leadership and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of social housing repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience managing repairs or void maintenance contracts.
- Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.
- Strong contract and performance management knowledge.
- Leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience using performance data to improve services.
Desirable: Multiple contractor management, NHF Schedule of Rates Version 7.2, and local authority housing experience.
