Client: The Royal Borough of Greenwich

Location: The Woolwich Centre

PAYE Pay Rate: £19.80 per hour

Work Pattern: 9 am till 5pm – 35 hours a week

Main Purpose of the Role

To support the effective management and monitoring of street works, ensuring utility companies and contractors comply with NRSWA, TMA and council procedures. The role involves coordinating works, carrying out inspections, managing defects, maintaining records and supporting charges and enforcement.

Typical Day

• Review and update streetworks notifications and records.
• Monitor works, inspections and defects.
• Follow up with utility companies on outstanding issues.
• Check EToN notifications and resolve errors.
• Prepare reports, charges, invoices and Fixed Penalty Notices.
• Respond to enquiries from contractors, utility companies and council teams.
• Provide advice on street works licenses and procedures.
• Assist with meetings, audits and general network management duties.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of NRSWA and TMA.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• Accurate data entry and record keeping.
• Ability to analyse information and produce reports.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and resolve issues.
• Good IT skills and experience using databases/systems such as Symology/EToN.

Essential Qualifications / Experience

• Experience in streetworks, highways, traffic management or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of NRSWA/TMA requirements.
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience dealing with contractors, utility companies or external stakeholders.
• NRSWA Streetworks qualification is desirable.
