About the role
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to produce accurate and timely financial information to support effective business decision-making and compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
The Role
The Role
- Prepare supplier payment runs to agreed timetables.
- Reconcile customer rebates and prepare agents’ commission workings.
- Post monthly accounting journals.
- Prepare management accounts for the business with useful insights.
- Prepare sales, margin and cost reports.
- Maintain a fully reconciled balance sheet, clearly highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Complete general accounting reports when required.
- Prepare and post monthly prepayments and accruals, ensuring all supporting backup is maintained.
- Maintain an up-to-date fixed asset register and ensure depreciation is posted correctly.
- Liaise with and support external auditors as required.
- Prepare VAT returns for review.
- Provide support to the department in carrying out its statutory functions.
- Carry out further duties delegated by the line manager.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
- Experience using Sage 200 is essential.
- CIMA / ACCA part qualified or proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external personnel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Positive and flexible approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure
